Funding

The Community Closet opened in October of 2005 to provide low-cost pre-owned clothing and household items. The Board of Directors distributes profits to charitable activities in Park County. Over $110,000 has been disbursed since the store opened.

Additionally, no-cost store merchandise is given to other nonprofits (including schools) and vouchers to those who can’t afford needed purchases.

Examples of possible funding could include but are not necessarily be limited to: recreation scholarships/equipment; community functions; educational programs; youth programs; assistance in response to catastrophic events or illnesses; and support of existing non-profit organizations/special programs.

Download the funding guidelines and application, or pick up an application at the store at 416 East Park Street (M-F 10:00-5:30, Sat 8:00-4:00).
